Chief Operating Officer
I am one of the early founders of Artorius, and as COO my remit covers a range of areas including client services, technology, HR, compliance and corporate governance.
Naturally, being a founder of the business means everything we do is far more than a job for me. I take great pride as COO in how we are building a truly unique team who do exceptional things for our clients and the infrastructure to support clients we have established. Typically, a COO might be locked away in some financial services ‘factory’ for a bank. My role in Artorius is atypical and I am fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with our clients and our Client Partners. I hope this helps the firm to be different, because I’m never too far from the coal face so I can ensure operationally we focus on the right developments according to what truly benefits our clients.
As part of my role, I chair several client’s family office governance arrangements. It’s highly satisfying to help families with tricky succession issues, the responsibility of wealth and cutting through complexity of their estates, putting in place the appropriate governance and structures. Helping families achieve “peace of mind”, is highly rewarding. Prior to Artorius, I’ve worked in a variety of roles including Baker Tilly/RSM Partner, stints at Santander, KPMG, AXA and Skipton Building Society working on strategy and M&A, and a fascinating period founding and managing a private equity portfolio for a Saudi family office.
Outside of work, my passion is experiencing travel with my wife and two young sons whenever we get an opportunity; this with the aim of ticking off as many places on the globe as we can. I’ve recently dusted down the mountain bike, inspired by a summer in Morzine, and enjoying getting back offroad.
